The Hikvision iDS-7216HQHI-M1XT is a high-performance 16-channel AI DVR engineered for large-scale surveillance environments that require facial intelligence, advanced analytics, and operational reliability. Built on deep learning technology, this recorder delivers accurate detection, intelligent search, and superior false-alarm reduction across analog and IP channels.

At its core, the M1XT series offers powerful facial recognition capabilities, supporting up to 16 independent face picture libraries. Face data remains protected even in the event of HDD failure, as the face picture library is securely backed up on both HDD and internal flash memory. The system supports face picture comparison and intelligent face search, with up to 4 channels of face comparison alarms for HD analog cameras, making it ideal for access monitoring, retail security, campuses, and corporate facilities.

The DVR features Motion Detection 2.0, enabled by default on all analog channels, using AI-based human and vehicle classification to drastically reduce false alerts caused by environmental factors such as rain, shadows, or moving foliage. Additionally, quick search by object or event type allows rapid forensic review.

For perimeter-based security, the advanced model supports Perimeter Protection on up to 8 channels, enabling accurate intrusion detection and boundary monitoring with intelligent target analysis. The recorder supports 16 analog channels and up to 24 IP channels, with IP camera resolutions up to 6MP and a total bandwidth of 256 Mbps. With H.265 Pro+ compression, storage usage is significantly reduced while maintaining high video quality.
